Administrative jobs
Administrative jobs involve little to no practical work. This kind of work is mostly paperwork and online paperwork. A Secretary or assistant is there to aid the managers and executive using business skills such as managerial skills communcation and organisational skills. just as any other Secretary they would be in charge of documents and sometimes would arrange upcoming events such as meetings. It is entirely possible for a Secretary to be for onle one person or for a whole team of people. Secretaries can also be in charge of taking the minutes of a meeting for their executives and prepare the documents for Review. Researchers are an integral piece of any media production as their work allows for everything to make sense and correspond with real facts, for example if someone was making a gangster noir movie the editor would find and gather informatio on this type of film Genre and the time frame it is set in to help the film be continuous and fit snuggly into genre. These people can work closely with the directors, costume, and set designers to make sure everything is complicit with the Research they have conducted.

Jobs in Detail - Film Editor
a Film Editor is the final person the production goes through in the production side of things. They are in charge of cutting the film together and use their own initiative and are often assisted by the director. The director will work closely with the editor and sometimes tell the editor where to put specific parts and how to edit specific Sequences. Being an Editor requires Technical and at times Creative Finesse, a lot of the time a film editor will have specific guidelines on how to cut the scenes together but can often use their own creative input and suggest another way. There are computers designed specifally just for editing, this is because an entire film can take up a lot of space on a computer and not to mention that there is often many many attempts of scenes to sort through and extra bits that may not be added to the final film. This software is in essence the same as other video editing software such as sony vegas or Adobe Premier. They all use the same tools to a degree altough a proffessional film company will have advanced software and computers designed to deal with a large amount of data from the film,The Editor of a film must have a good insight to the film itself. Whilst having a technical prowess a lot of editors have specialised degrees in things such as Script editing with a good grasp of analysis.
Managerial Jobs
Managerial jobs on a production are the people who are in higher up and in charge of all the other people and it is their responisibility to make sure that everyone else below them can fulfill their responsibilities and to keep things running smoothly. these are high paid and important jobs and can range from things like Director to Radio station manager. a Director is the person who is in charge of things such as camera angles, actors, stage actions, etc. it is his role to bring the script to life and to stand back and see the larger picture of things. the style of a director is really reflected in the final product and e or she often has a say in the editing, even if a director was not involved in the writing process they can adapt and bend the story to their own creative style to create an original piece with the basic guidelines of a script. A Radio station manager is in charge of all aspects of the radio staff. A Station manager must have a clear idea of how his or her station is run and must keep staff motivated and must also know the specific targeted audiences for each show to make sure that each audiences needs are met in anyway possible.

A publicists job is to create the hype around the film from managing every aspect of public perception about the film including adverts on billboards, Tv and radio and also any advertismenets found on the internet. Without a publicist a film would never get enough initial recognition to attract a lot of people to come see it which means that the production would have been a huge waste of time effort and money.
