Editorial Jobs

Editorial jobs are so much more than just putting scenes together, these jobs can range from doing things such as research and planning pre-production work and can actually be a lot more paperwork than actual technical editing work. it is an Editors job to piece the film together using only the best shots and scenes and rejecting the rest using Specialized computers designed specifically for editing this process can take weeks to complete to the standard that is needed for cinema and dvd release. There is also a Script editor who proof reads the scripts to search for potential mistakes to spelling grammar etc and will also give the scriptwriters notes on how to change specific elements of the scripts if they find a problem with the story or particular scene, it is up to the scriptwriter to change this though not the editor.
